Cookbook Club
A Gentle, Guided Way Back to the Kitchen
The Linger Cookbook Club is a guided wellness experience through cooking. Our small-group cooking club is where we slow down, cook from the same beautiful cookbook, and reconnect — to our food, our bodies, and one another. Together, we’ll cook through Linger by Hetty Lui McKinnon, a deeply nourishing, plant-forward cookbook designed for lingering over vegetables, flavor, and the people you share them with.
It’s a month of cooking with intention — learning practical techniques, exploring ingredients, while cultivating ease, confidence, and pleasure in the kitchen. No advanced skills are required —just openness and curiosity.
This is for anyone craving a softer, more connected relationship with cooking.
You’ll gain
Practical cooking techniques you can use every day
A more intuitive approach to recipes and substitutions
A slower, more nourishing rhythm in the kitchen
Connection to yourself and others through food
You’ll get
Your own copy of Linger by Hetty Lui McKinnon and a gift from me
Guided instruction on technique and ingredients
A supportive, small-group community
A hosted potluck at the beautiful ALTAR Community
Hetty Lui McKinnon’s cooking embodies everything this club stands for: generosity, flexibility, and deep respect for vegetables.
While many recipes are built around salads, these are abundant, satisfying meals, meant to be adapted, played with, and enjoyed. Linger encourages you to listen to your instincts and cook with what’s available, which makes it the perfect companion for this experience.
Why Linger?
-
We'll introduce ourselves, share what drew us to this book, talk about our relationship with cooking and food, and set intentions for our time together. This is about building community before we build meals.
(Live on Zoom) -
We'll choose a recipe from Linger and make it together in real time. You'll cook in your own kitchen while we're all connected—asking questions, sharing tips, laughing through the messy parts, and celebrating the process as much as the result.
(Live on Zoom)
-
Bring your cooking questions, challenges, and curiosities. We'll problem-solve together—whether it's about technique, ingredients, time management, or how to make cooking feel less overwhelming. This is a space for honest conversation and collective wisdom.
(Live on Zoom)
-
We'll close the club by gathering around a table together. Everyone brings a dish inspired by Linger (or just something they love), and we share a meal, stories, and the connections we've built. Because the best part of cooking is always who you share it with.
Meet your guide.
